Welcome to the Taconic Region PTA® The Taconic Region PTA is one of sixteen regions of the New York State Congress of Parents and Teachers, a branch of National PTA  We are located in the southeastern section of New York State and represent Dutchess County, Ulster County, southern Columbia County and  western Putnam County.
TaconicPTA: Board Training Each summer we hold a "Short and Sweet" session to train new PTA board members.

  • Professional Development for Advanced Coursework in STEM
    The New York State Education Department in partnership with the College Board is pleased to announce a three-year program focused on Professional Development for Advanced Coursework in STEM. We invite you to join this initiative as we lead the nation with the first state-wide STEM Advanced Professional Development Program in the United States.
  • NYS Museum Exhibition: Focus on Nature
    Open through December 31, 2012 in the Photography Gallery, this biennial juried exhibition has continued to grow over the past 24 years, both in scope and reputation. This year’s exhibition features 93 natural history illustrations, representing the work of 72 illustrators. These were selected from 503 entries, submitted by 219 artists, up from the 450 submissions by 186 artists in 2010. Approximately one-third of the artists whose work was selected were new to the entry process. Countries represented for the first time are Thailand, Germany, and Switzerland. Other artists participating are from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, England, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Portugal, and the USA.
